Day 1
Overnight Flight
Depart for Italy where you will experience the wonders of Classical Rome, the legends of Christian Rome and the magnificent culinary treasures produced by this Mediterranean country. Your familiarization tour begins with an overnight flight to Rome, “The Eternal City.”

Day 2
Arrive Rome, Italy - Tour Begins
You arrive in Rome today. This evening, join your fellow travelers for a special welcome dinner at a popular local restaurant featuring regional delicacies and fine Italian wine.

Day 3
Rome - Classical Rome City Tour
A panoramic tour of Classical Rome features such incredible sights as the Piazza Venezia, Trevi Fountain, the Roman Forum, the Circus Maximus, the Colosseum and the Arch of Constantine. The remainder of the day is yours to explore Rome independently.

Day 4
Rome - Siena - Florence
A scenic journey north will take you past the green region of Umbria into Tuscany’s graceful low-lying hills towards the mystical city of Siena. A local expert will take you on a guided tour through its narrow Gothic streets, past magnificent palaces and through the historic Piazza del Campo. Enjoy some free time to explore the town on your own before departing for Florence. You will spend the next two nights in Florence, “Cradle of the Italian Renaissance.”

Day 5
Florence
A cultural treasure-trove, Florence is filled with artistic and architectural gems. A guided tour of the city includes the Piazza Del Duomo, where you will see the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, one of the largest in the Christian world, and the Church of Santa Croce, burial place of Michelangelo, Galileo and Machiavelli. You also view the Palazzo Vecchio in Signoria Square and the Baptistery of St. John. Your afternoon and evening are at leisure.

Day 6
Florence - Pisa - Venice
Drive toward the coast to the ancient maritime Republic of Pisa, where you will find the Piazza Dei Miracoli, the Duomo (Cathedral) and its historic Baptistery, and the famous Leaning Tower. Then, journey through central Italy towards the enchanting city of Venice, where 117 tiny islands are connected by a beautiful latticework of 150 canals and 400 bridges.

Day 7
Venice - Murano Island - Milan Malpensa
Your day begins with a boat trip* (weather permitting) to Murano Island for a fascinating glass-blowing demonstration. Return to charming St. Mark’s Square, the hub of Venetian city life. A local expert will take you on a walking tour featuring the Clock Tower with its famous Moors, St. Mark’s Basilica and St. Mark’s Square. Enjoy some free time for last minute shopping before your departure to Milan Malpensa. A farewell dinner will be served to celebrate the end of your memorable familiarization tour of Italy.

The boat trip to Capri many not be available due to inclement weather and the visit to Murano Island may be substituted with a visit to a Venice Glass factory.

Collette air passengers will depart from the Milan airport. All Collette transfers will depart from Stresa for the Milan airport.
